JohnG, why must it be strictly western partners? Given Japanese/Chinese history, and China having visions of flexing economic muscle, a participation by Chinese companies in the consortium may not be out of the cards.I will post no longer on this regard as I am now in the realm of pure speculation. I just wanted to point out that Qualcomm is pursuing a wireless/internet service angle and that chipset sales may not be their sole or even primary focus in their Japan strategy.

Regards,
Patty
