"My brothers a Point Man on a SORT team. That means he's the first one on his team in the door on an entry action. Whatever is behind that door his body will take the brunt of whatever action the people inside decide to inflict (if they do)."

I completely agree with the use of force in situations where it is "NECESSARY." Lets put this in perspective: We sent armed men into a house who are trained to track down "fugitives" and other criminals. There skill and training is invaluable. Children live in this house. I am not against the "stormtrooper" mentality.

It was premature to choose the use of force equal to that which is used to raid a crack house. Why the exteme?

This family in Miami has "allegedly" been on the wrong side of the law. Did the U.S. file kidnapping charges? Did the U.S. make any attempt to goto Miami and extract the child without violence? No. This was the first time that anyone from Justice even knocked on their door. The Government had no plans to extract Elian in a peaceful manor. They stormed the house by force.

That is the violence we see on the streets. I do not condone the use of this type of force on this particular situation. The underlying logic, Yes.. The way it was done, NO.

I am happy to hear that Congress agrees. Trent Lott will be conducting hearings on this issue.
