Kit, I saw Joe Kernan touting a small bounce for all it was worth on CNBS. That seemed to encourage the retardos who follow him, and also may have been the signal for the Plunge Protection Committee to throw some of Greenspan's easy money at the sinking market. The fact that the Nasdaq did not end at flat was very encouraging. It means that both the Plunge people and the retardos are getting short on the green stuff.
