Peggy Noonan was a speech writer (or shall we say scriptwriter?)for Ronald Reagan. And you know that Reagan is revered by the conservatives. And WSJ leans to the right. You must credit her with providing good wholesome imagery, the kind-of-feel-goodness America loves. Whether it has any relevance to reality does not seem to matter.
