Mani, <What is the status of Merced?>

No updates as of yet.

<What are the expected volume for it and considering the current capacity crunch and its very big die size, will it be ramped as planned?>

The volumes are not expected to be very big. But if it does eat into capacity, I would expect Intel to favor Itanium over other products like Coppermine, Cascades, maybe even Willamette. This is because Intel has so much riding on IA-64 that flubbing its launch would probably hurt much more in the long run than the slip-ups we've seen recently.

Of course, I'm an IA-64 kind of guy, so I might have a distorted view of Intel's priorities.
