Greg: Sigh. Would it be possible to see what the facts are?

You have stated that you will ask your questions until you have an answer. Fine. What does your research show? What have you found out? What facts are real in your judgement?

There is a clear open direct path to CDMA 2000 in Japan in current sprectrum.

That will happen.

So the question (if any) is, then what (2 or more years down the road)?

Are you actually worried that the Q is bidding for a seat at the table for CDMA2000 in the new sprectrum? If so, why?

Have you played poker? Curious.

Obviously if the Q does bid, that bid is part of a major consortium which bids. The Q will put up some money but the bulk will be from others of course. The idea that the Q will put up $ 11 b up itself is a staw man. You must know that. So why keep that absurd drumbeat up?

Perhaps you wish for others to do your DD, if so you are in the right place. You will find answers here.

Perhaps a beginning would be to pay a bit of attention to the real world as it is in Japan. Live and learn - as we all try to do here.

Best.
