True, but that is for the next six months. What about the following year. I'm not talking about what is best for our one year investments, I'm talking about what's good for AMD going forward.

Again, I'm not talking short term. The effects of Intels YEARS of advertising are still being felt by AMD. Even though Athlon is superior and will continue to be <g>, people still request Pentiums. What happens when Intel's supply problems are no longer and what if Willy is a killer? If there is no one asking for Athlons, computer makers will stop ordering them.

It has nothing to do with amortizing the cost of advertising over the next two quarters.
