Corporate Name to be Changed to Universal Broadband Networks
IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 2000--Integrated Communications Provider IJNT.net, Inc. announced today that it has been granted a listing on the NASDAQ National Markets System and that its common stock will commence daily trading on the NMS on or before Tuesday, April 25, 2000.

Jeffrey R. Matsen, IJNT General Counsel-Corporate, commented: ``NASDAQ's evaluation of applicants is very rigorous. The current backlog of National Markets applications in addition to the long list of qualifications and the intensive approval process combined to make a lengthy journey, and the final approval even more rewarding for our shareholders and employees. We are gratified by the professional and considerate manner in which the analysts and staff at NASDAQ have dealt with our application.''

IJNT Co-founders, Mary E. Blake and Jon H. Marple stated: ``Listing on the NASDAQ National Markets is one of the key milestones in the development of IJNT. We feel fortunate to be among the small percentage of companies which make the transition from the Bulletin Board to National Markets stature. This crucial step will expose a broader investor base to our integrated broadband communications strategy and allow us to gain institutional support.''

The Company also announced today that, in keeping with its integrated broadband communications vision, the name will be changed from IJNT.net, Inc. to Universal Broadband Networks (``UBNetworks''), subject to shareholder approval. The UBNetworks logo and service mark will continue to be used in connection with the Company's integrated suite of products and services. Until the formal name change takes effect within the next 75 days, the Company will continue to be known as IJNT.net, Inc. with the ticker symbol ``IJNT'' on NASDAQ NMS.

Marketing VP Jerry Pulley remarked: ``Universal Broadband is what we offer through our comprehensive range of products and services providing our customers maximum choice in broadband communications. Our new name will consolidate a formerly confusing set of divisional and subsidiary names under the unifying and descriptive 'Universal Broadband' umbrella, which reflects our ongoing commitment to provide the diverse broadband solutions demanded by increasingly sophisticated users.''

IJNT.net provides integrated broadband communications to businesses and consumers. The Company's high-speed DSL network will offer world-class performance from a flexible line of products and services to fit any broadband need. The IJNT.net family of companies provides wired and wireless broadband communications over several ``last mile'' systems at speeds up to 100 times faster than common dial-up modems, through the Company's direct sales and value-added resellers. The Company's customer base is expected to grow rapidly as the network is expanded regionally across the United States. The Company's growth has resulted from aggressive marketing and sales, internal development, acquisitions, and strategic alliances.
