Thanks everyone for the feedback on my post. I was excessively frustrated today and felt the need to put my thoughts on paper. In regard to my off topic comment and this and other responses

I agree with you that the child belonged with his father. My point was that the DOJ handled the situation poorly. That gun directly in his face was not necessary. IMO

Back to the DOJ / MSFT. It seems to me that any 'remedy' is in reality just a punitive measure at this point. Breaking up the company is so out of line it's mind boggling. As MSFT has said, this is out of left field. Nothing in the case is cause to take such drastic a measure.

This has simply become the case of a proud and misguided judge and a slew of MSFT's competitors that are in charge of formatting a verdict and resolution.
