GW - ******MSFT******

Something a bit odd about the way MSFT handled things. I mean:-

1. That Goldman Sachs guy was just so timeous and on the ball and I think he said he got his info from calling not MSFT but other companies. Well is there a slow down in PC sales? Has anyone here seen numbers that evidence a slowdown in PC sales?

2. All the 'good' rumours turn out consistently to be not only totally false but 100% wrong. First there was the rumour about an imminent settlement. Then the rumour that there was no way the DOJ wanted to break up the company.

3. The CC.. thats the oddest. I mean here comes arguable the most influential company on the planet at the most critial earnings announcement and they send out who??? A finance guy and not Greg Mafei at that but has is he someone who has taken an MSFT earnings CC before??? I don't recall it. On top of that where on earth was Bill and Steve??? All everybody wanted to hear from was those two and not necessarily about last Q's numbers either.

Very very odd and only posted here becuase anything that materially affects MSFT affects the entire NAZ.

Best regards,

L
