I notice that none of you AMDroids deal with the problems pointed out with the Athlon's cache design.

There is as much of a problem in Athlon cache design as there was in all pre-Coppermine PII and PIII, that is, it is different and happens to be inferior. The L2 issue will be addressed within 1 to 2 months, when the new generation of Athlons will be unveiled.

Btw, this is not a very good news for Rambus, because the new AMD chips will outperform Intel chips. Since Intel doesn't have a good performing SDRAM platform, there will be comparison of Intel chips with Rambus vs. Athlon chips with SDRAM or DDR, and Intel chips will be slower. One can then interpret that they are slower because of Rambus, as some here interpret that current Coppermine chips are faster than Athlon because of Rambus.
