Unfortunately DMA, I am not afraid to confront people about their political views. I've come to the understanding that a large percentage of people vote for someone based on naive information generated through most main stream media sources. People don't want to think too hard about something. they tend to go with their gut instinct loosely based on stereotypes. (i.e. "the rich are evil" "we need to save the planet") But once you dissect their logic and reveal the flaws within them, they may begin to see the error in their thinking.

Unfortunately, this take a little bit of effort on their part. And most people think in term of their own lives ('how's the 401K?...) they then get apathetic.

BUT....the attack on MSFT should put a squeeze that can be felt around the 401K world.

I also think people look to someone they find believable.

GW is all over Al "wooden block" Gore in that regard.

And that makes me optimistic.
