Big Bucks, although I understand the point you were trying to make, it would be more helpful to know the number of authorized shares of the companies used in your example. As you know Outstanding shares are not Authorized shares as the shares have to be issued. That said, the total number of shares does seem quite high given the relatively small number of shares required to cover Convertibles, Stock Options, Global Center. Acquisitions? How large are they planning? Winnick et al, is obviously looking to the distant future given the 10 year conversion price of $250 on the last Convertible that priced. So potential stock splits are factored in also. Any buyout would only include outstanding or issued shares not authorized. It will take years, if at all, to run through 4.5B shares imo.
