Allan, no, i was referring to the AAII poll of last week. the Market Vane figure was much more subdued.

i think KIS has correctly identified what's going on. yesterday afternoon, Goldman Sachs was buying the futures like crazy. tomorrow the T wireless IPO is priced, for which they are the lead underwriter. so they spent some small change to keep the bubble afloat and make sure they get their big cut of the underwriting fees as planned.

today the Fed has also come to the rescue with one of the biggest repo operations i have ever seen...some 8,5 billion dollars.

in short, every available resource is thrown at the bubble to keep it going...
