Reg- Microsoft would have to start with a whole new core and recruit new programmers that have been inoculated from the Windows desktop culture to produce a micro Windows. I grew up in an environment where a major US bank's processing would be done on an 8k memory computer. It takes a special breed to do real Micro. Given the time frame to do that Palm has a better chance of successfully growing its OS than Microsoft has of successfully shrinking its. Harvey P.S. What do you think the long term implications are of a Microsoft split up? Do you see investment opportunities outside the Microsoft fold? I can see software companies sprouting like dot coms are now.
