Eric L: Just out of curiosity is there any bridge or path from EDGE to WCDMA (DS)? If so, what is it? And would it be the same for EDGE on GSM and EDGE on TDMA?

And DoCoMo is clearly not moving from EDGE, since EDGE is not planned in Japan as an "interim" step [sic.] to WCDMA.

Best, as always.

Chaz

PS And while I am asking you questions, do you (or anyone else here) have any idea what frequency or frequencies DoCoMo proposes to use for its WCDMA (DS) introduction next year at this time - the new to be auctioned, or some part of the current - and if current, what will be displaced?
