USA Video Interactive Is Official Webcast Producer
For The Webby Awards 2000© ? ?Oscars of the Internet?

USA Video Interactive will provide the live digital satellite feed to millions of PC-viewers through the host of this year?s star-studded show, Yahoo! Inc., a leading global Internet communications, commerce and media company. The Internet broadcast of the entire event can be accessed on Yahoo! Entertainment (http://entertainment.yahoo.com) beginning at 9:15 PM EDT on Thursday, May 11.

USA Video Interactive will produce the event for webcast including shooting, capturing and mixing content from two live video camera and audio feeds ? one roving camera at the pre- and post-awards events and one fixed camera at the Red Carpet outside the main venue of the awards ceremony. This content will be mixed with content from Webbys live camera crews inside the event and processed through USA Video Interactive digital video encoding equipment for single switched audio and video feed delivered via satellite from the event site to Yahoo! More than 3,000 celebrities are expected at the gala 4th annual Webby Awards being held on San Francisco?s historic Nob Hill. The VIP Party will take place in the gorgeous Grace Cathedral, the ceremony at the 3,000 seat Masonic Auditorium, and the post-party at a yet-to-be-disclosed, but very close venue. The event is known for its eclectic judges, outrageous fashions and mandatory five-words-or-less acceptance speeches.
