CNBC headline for their 6pm EDT show - New developments affecting AT&T acquisition plan for Media One.

I suppose this is the rumor:

NEW YORK, April 25 (Reuters) - A Federal Communications Commission staff report favours approval of AT&T Corp.'s (NYSE: T) purchase of cable TV company MediaOne Group Inc. (NYSE: UMG) after it divests certain assets, the Wall Street Journal reported in its online edition on Tuesday.

The Journal said the report, sent to the FCC's commissioners late last week, proposes that either AT&T to sell its programming units Liberty Media Group (NYSE: LMGa) and Rainbow Media Sports Holdings Inc. or MediaOne to sell its stake Time Warner Entertainment.

FCC commissioners could alter or reject the recommendation, the Journal said.
