Captain Jack...I don't believe that the
market value of CPQ investment is of great value
right now.

``Compaq concentrates investments in areas closely
aligned to our overall corporate strategy, so the
recent downturn has effected their valuation,
but not the strategic value to Compaq,'' he said.

CPQ could not sell their shares without the price
falling, in any case.
