Jim, in order for DELL to realistically make 16 cents they need 21.0% gross margin and this assumes max. Opex at $860 million and flat ASP [@$2025]. But, let's face it, in any given quarter despite the fact that we know unit sales volume [courtesy of IDC] it's still a big guessing game. We cannot accurately predict ASP, Opex, other income, tax rate, and/or avg diluted shares and any of these factors can skew earnings up or down. In fact, we can only guess that in this quarter DELL will report between 14 and 18 cents. The only reason I'm predicting an eps of between 14 and 16 cents is the fact that unit sales volume was down 5% sequentially from last quarter when they reported 16 cents eps. All other anecdotal evidence certainly helps but is also a question of interpretation. Regards, Gabriel
