Ed, i think the Eurocrats honestly believe their competitive devaluation scheme is somehow a good thing. their calculation is probably that it will help them avoid the tough structural reforms a strong currency would demand. like you say, it's beginning to look like a full-blown currency crisis: tfc-charts.w2d.com absolutely disgusting...of course one of the likely victims is the US trade deficit, which looks like it wants to get completely out of control as well. 216.46.231.211 i wonder what policy makers are actually thinking...do they really believe none of this will come home to roost? regards, hb
