Are you saying that the end justifies the means?
The Cuban exiles hate Castro, and want to be rid of him. I would too if I were in their shoes. However, nothing they or their US allies has tried has done squat in that regard. In effect, they are powerless, so they have seized upon the symbolism of Elian as a weapon. All this posturing by the politicians and lawyers is pretty futile too. This child is being used for blatantly self-serving purposes by everyone concerned except his father, and that's wrong.
