You are merely agreeing with yourself, with this statement. I don't care about the political reasons for the
embargo. I only care about keeping blood money out of Castro's hands. The people of Cuba would benefit little from lifting the embargo. Castro, one of the wealthiest men in the world (while his people suffer) would just get wealthier.

I believe the people of Cuba would benefit greatly if the embargo was lifted. They might even benefit so much and be exposed to so much American culture that the communist government might become less relevant to their lives. Western cultural influences helped to topple communism in eastern Europe and it could do so in Cuba too. Where is Castro going to export his misery to? All of Latin America is democratic to some extent or another these days. Castro is a relic from the past who would become even more irrelevant if the embargo was lifted. Why don't we use the engagement policy with Cuba like we do with China? Don't we want to have ties with Cuba when Castro eventually dies, so we can influence the direction of post-Castro cuba?
