Russian sales: Merry that news has been out for a couple of days and yet the PGM's remain strong. My theory, based on nothing, is that the Russians were forced to sell a lot of what they had during their economic debacle 2 years ago. Remember oil was $10 bucks, so I am guessing they had very little to sell at the time and they were desperate.

No one knows what their stockpiles are and we still haven't seen the goods; and apparently the mkt isn't paying much attention. I heard that there was excess selling of PGM's last week and that the Tiger fund was liquidating, but still the price remains strong.

Japan has put on controls to squash speculation, and the US has increased margin requirements.

This is a great drama - how it ends nobody knows <g>.
