China urges U.S. for PNTR approval Apr 26 2000 12:18PM Homeway The U.S. side should take concrete measures to approve Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) for China on time and without any conditions, otherwise it will greatly harm the interests of American companies in China, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Sun Yuxi yesterday in Beijing. Sun reiterated at a retine press conference that the agreement between China and the United States on China's WTO accession is a win-win deal. "It's no U.S. charity to China," he stressed. The spokesman also said that China is seriously committed to carrying out the agricultural cooperation agreement between China and the U.S. and that the careful implementation of the agreement is already under way.
