Hi Jack - good questions, not sure if I ve the real answers. However, IMHO, it is shortsighted to think NT can live off Optical forever. While there is a huge build out b/c ILECs have to fight off the encroachment of CLECs, a truly world class corporation will need to need the cash cow to fund future projects. Not all of the new projects are homeruns. And some homeruns don't come about in the 1st inning.

What is Enterprise? Beat me! But is Open IP part of it? So NT should follow COMS and LU footsteps? I am sure opinions vary. I am not sure COMS and LU were doing the right thing, except to appease short term shareholders. How about ASP? I am sure not all shareholders are big fans of CLFY acquisition, but will it pay off one day?

best, Bosco
