You guys do realize that we started the year with LPTHA, LPTHZ, LPTHW and LPTHU and in about a month or so will only have LPTHA. Having only one flavor should keep demand high and supply low. . . the way we like it.

Also, when a company believes it will be acquired at some point in the future, it calls in all warrants, units, debentures, options or any other pending event, in order to make the relationship between the stock and the financials more clear and simple. . . and because these instruments are not stock, but merely agreements with the company. . . and not with the acquirer.

For that matter, companies will also consolidate loans or pay off any notes just prior to an announcement of acquisition.

Robert Rupp is doing a great job cutting LPTHA away from its IPO beginnings. He is also doing well at expanding the business. . . and has opened the NJ branch. . .and cut the manufacturing deal on the Pacific Rim. . .hired the Lucent executives. . . among other things. . . .but he was still no doubt hired to eventually find an acquirer for LPTHA. The exit strategy for LPTHA was probably the primary consideration for the hiring of the CEO.

My guess is that he will sell them within about a year and a half. [for us the longer the better] . . But I also believe he would like to see the market cap up near 1 billion first. . .so he can ask a premium above that point. . .
