Ya know, I've heard alot of folks getting a little down on the Q, but what I notice, it is only for the short term. Most people are saying things like they may rotate out for now, but will be back later....or I'm getting out for the short term, but if there was only one stock I could own for the long term, it would be Qualcomm.
This much I agree on.....I feel long term Q will be much, much larger then today. I dont know what happens tomorrow, but this is one company I will not guess with. I have seen what happens when it decides to move. I have seen what happens when I have been on the sidelines waiting to get in. Rarely did I ever get in at a lower price. Currently Q is close to half it's high ( didnt it tip 200 at one point ??)....If anything, I would be a buyer at $100, not a seller. Even if we dip to $80, is it worth holding Q from $200 down to $100, only to get out and play something you hope will do well, while sitting on the sidelines waiting for Q. Then what if Q moves while your still on the sidelines...sure you can get in, but it may cost you $20 - $50 points, so I must ask myself if it is worth trying to time this stock. With all the repositioning and re-leveraging I have done, the Q is one of the few I did not touch. I have Oct 200's written on all my shares and will wait and let the Q picture develop.
Good luck to everybody |
