Further clues to EMC's ultimate aim is seen in this list of "major technology companies": EMC, ORCL, CSCO. Conspicuous by its absence is SUNW. As recently as last year Reuttgers always spoke of the four dominant companies in the internet space (EMC, ORCL, CSCO, and SUNW). Now that list has become three companies and my guess is that over time that list will be pared to two.
