AM Communications Announces Local Craft Software
QUAKERTOWN, Pa., Apr 26, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- AM Communications, Inc. (OTC:AMCM) announced OmniCraft(TM) utility software, offering a wide range of local control and monitoring capabilities for installing and provisioning status monitoring transponders.
OmniCraft is designed to run on inexpensive laptop computers and can be connected directly to the "craft" interface connector on AM transponders. OmniCraft allows network field personnel to set transponder operating frequencies, RF transmission levels, alarm thresholds, and many other transponder parameters.
In addition, technicians can view readings of all of the parameters in the monitored network element easily.
"OmniCraft is an excellent software complement to AM's line of frequency agile transponders," said Harry Tankin, President of AM Communications.
"OmniCraft is especially useful to our OEM partners who wish to install AM FlexStat(TM) transponders into their own brand of network equipment. With OmniCraft, AM transponders and OEM equipment can be integrated and tested on the same assembly line and delivered to the network operator as a pre-configured solution. OmniCraft represents AM's determination to offer its OEM partners tools and capabilities that improve time to delivery, as well as position the OEM as a value added player in the broadband market," continued Tankin.
