VENGOLD INC - Launch of New Website itemus.com - Live Webcast of CEO Jim Tobin's Presentation at The Company's AGM

Effective April 26, 2000, itemus Inc., (NASDAQ, OTC/BB to be confirmed)

will feature on-line their new website, www.itemus.com and will broadcast the
live webcast of the Vengold Inc./itemus Inc. Annual General Meeting of
Shareholders taking place at the Toronto Stock Exchange Convention Centre at
10:00 a.m., with a presentation by Jim Tobin, President and CEO of itemus Inc.

Toronto, Ontario, Apr. 26, 2000 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX) -- Mr. Tobin
stated, "In operationalizing itemus, we want to offer our stakeholders
tremendous value and service, with our website serving as a live portal for
experiencing all we bring."

The new itemus website is being produced by Intrasoft Technologies, one of
itemus' first acquisitions. An Ottawa-based web solutions company, 100% owned by
itemus Inc., Intrasoft was co-founded by Christine Pietschmann and Curtis
Hollister.

According to Ms. Pietschmann, "The itemus website will become a human capital

can broker their products and services, interact and participate with itemus and
facilitate knowledge flow."

itemus Inc. is a New Economy corporation that creates, invests in, and operates
revolutionary applications and business models for the Internet. Canadian based
and global in scope and scale, itemus participates in all stages of the value
creation process: early stage incubation, smart venture investment,
"dot-comming" of bricks-and-mortar companies, and helping public technology
enterprises unlock unrealized value.

With development, hosting and business service infrastructure in several cities,
itemus focuses on opportunities in Next Generation Networking, Financial
Intermediation for E-Commerce, and Rich Media.

itemus inc. is the proposed name for Vengold Inc. and is subject to approval by
shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on April 26, 2000 in
Toronto.

This news release may contain certain forward-looking statements that reflect
the current views and/or expectations of itemus Inc. with respect to its
performance, business and anticipated results. As such, results could differ
significantly.
