Qualcomm vs. JDSU

Although some may say it's comparing apples to oranges, I noted back in January that at one point JDSU and QCOM "crossed", that is to say, on one day they had the same share price of $160. At the time I mentioned it to my girlfriend (who owns both), and I said it would be interesting to watch where they go from there. Well, here we are in late April and they just about crossed again, at about $101 (might have missed the crossing by a buck or two, Mike). BUT JDSU has SPLIT since January. So, since then, JDSU is up roughly 25% and QCOM is down about 43%. Never would have thunk it. I love both companies; but perhaps it may be time to rotate some of my severely JDSU-overweighted portfolio into QCOM?? I just can't see them continuing this divergent trend. Any thoughts on medium term market timing on JDSU vs. QCOM from the thread, given that I strongly believe in the long term prospects of both companies? TIA
