positives & negatives for MSFT breakup value is still very large but PC centered business likely to slow way down Win2000 is now a competitive product versus Sun Solaris competition is an unfamiliar war condition in RedmondWA I would love to see four companies: op/systems, applications, internet, media e.g. MSNBC my guess is large institutions are staring out the window wondering what to do with their scads of MSFT stock very constructive talk about splitting Windows from Office from Internet but what would finance all the Internet efforts? if not from Windows monopoly subsidies? / JW
