V-Link, the company's sophisticated suite of enhanced communications services now supports Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), an open, global specification that allows mobile users with wireless devices to access and interact with the Internet instantly. By supporting WAP, I-Link has made it possible for users to access their V-Link account and exercise options currently available through the web-enabled version of the enhanced communication tool.
WAP-enabled V-Link allows users to centralize all of their voice/data communications from home, the office and the road through one telephone number which provides access to a myriad of features, including accessing messages, viewing and printing faxes, forwarding messages to e-mail addresses or V-Link numbers, checking and changing personal settings and creating and maintaining group lists. By incorporating WAP into I-Link's network and services, the company continues its commitment to providing users worldwide with technologies that assist them in keeping in touch from wherever they choose to be, whether on the road, in the office or at home.
The messages collected and stored in V-Link will be delivered to users in a WAP appropriate format, moving the full V-Link experience to WAP devices. Users can try the initial service by accessing wap.i-link.net with their WAP-enabled device.
