lewis, I am beginning to discover that there are intelligent people on each side of the fence. And then there are verbally explosive, offensive, and bigoted ones also in each group. It is these fringe groups that are really causing the problem. One problem is, that the sensible, less emotional, people do not seem motivated to let their feelings be known. More calm, and sensible, discussion seems to be in order, with an understanding from the "git go", that neither side is trying to dictate to the other. Peace can only be achieved through tolerance. I don't have to like the beliefs of an Atheist, but I must respect his right to think as he pleases, as long as no other person is harmed. This same premise holds true regardless of what groups are involved. If everyone would refrain from demanding, and just ask, for consideration, perhaps more equity would be achieved. As the old saying goes, "you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar."
