Tony, Great points. Crowds never seemed to matter much to New Yorkers that live in Manhattan other than they seem to like it. Did you see the article in the SJ Merc today? Housing appreciation is amazing I put the article here: suite101.com and copied some data from the tables in the print version: City Median Price Increase Atherton 236.7% Monte Sereno 120.6% Wasco (Kern County) 116.2% Los Altos Hills 110.7% Milbrae 81.5% Los Altos 70.6% ... Truckee (Lake Tahoe) 52.8% (Probably some vacation homes) I've heard 17 Mile Drive in Monterey and Carmel are booming too.
