<< Apparently, it's OK for the U.S. to trade with and support tyrants when they support our interests, >>

Sometimes you have to take sides from a list of lessor evils. Sometimes you just make mistakes. Sometimes, unfortunately, corrupt factions within our government make the decisions.

Saints, sinners, misguided politicians, well meaning politicians, corrupt politicians........ They all make up our government and our foreign policy, similar to every other country.

<< But now the cold war has ended and Castro just happens to be a communist dictator instead of a right-wing dictator ... so the embargo continues. >>

Castro doesn't not want the embargo lifted. If he did, he would call for fair and free elections in Cuba. The ball is in Castro's hands. He chooses to enrich himself, while his people suffer. He chooses to murder those that oppose him, or jail those that oppose him. He chooses to separate children from their parents.

Tell Castro your thoughts about the cold war being over. Perhaps he will let an innocent mother out of prison in honor of you.

<< We don't need a bunch of exile Cubans seeking revenge when Castro is dead. We need a transition to democracy in Cuba. >>

We don't? I'd love to see the criminal leaders in Cuba, that have murdered and molested the children of Cuba for decades, to be brought to justice for their crimes. By the way, who is "we don't". I was under the impression that you favored a people deciding issues for themselves, and not by "big brothers" in the U.S.?
