Read the post before yours, robert, catch this bit -

Remember the cooked-up charges of child abuse against Juan Miguel in the last frantic days of the reign of L zaro? ... The propaganda video where he had Eli n shaking his finger at his father? ... there's an exact equivalence there with the tendency of Fidel to lie and manipulate when it suits his purpose.

Sure, Fidel is a whole lot brighter and has within his borders more military power than L zaro, but there is no essential difference in their shared tendency to use whatever in their power to dictate to Juan Miguel.
