Heinz, it appears to me that the forward curves for platinum are largely unaffected by the April contract squeeze. I would expect more rise in the later-dated contracts if something fundamental was transpiring. As for yesterday's action, my numbers indicate that only 16 contracts were outstanding, meaning the economic effect of the settlement was only 1650210=$168,000. BWDIK.
