Margin I did buy some shares for 77 1/4 on margin. I am currently 13% margined. I am about 18% margined if you include the credit card advance but I hope to pay that back soon. The only way I would not pay it back in a month is if I instead take the money to pay it back and buy 1 January call. If I do this I will pay back the credit card debt in two months. The only way I will be disasterously overextended is if AMD totally tanks and I get fired all within two months... Even then I think I could find another job quickly still that is a scary (if very unlikely) thought.
After this 2 month period I will probably stop investing for awile as I reestablish my cash reserve. I drew down my cash reserve to invest (mostly in AMD) and I think it is prudent to build in back up again. After I save up several thousand dollars, I will either look into investing more or pay back my margin debt.
