Plaz,

Look how the numbers drop drastically for 1024x768 and above. This is mostly due to memory bandwidth limitations.

That is why embedded DRAM is becoming so important. It is expensive to put multiple off chip memories on a video card for feeding the color buffers, Z-buffers, texture memory, etc.

Also, some high end cards are performance limited by the ability to transfer vertices over the AGP 4x port.
