I once had a neighbor who was an OR nurse, and she participated in a number of "harvesting" sessions. She said it was all quite eerie for her when the donor was essentially hollowed out.

This nurse used to go jogging after work with her labrador retriever. One evening some friends saw the dog sitting alone beside the road, and when they stopped they found their friend, dead, alongside the dog. A heart attack, anuerism, or some such thing. I think she was still in her 30s.
