B&M do not have this expense.

Well, they do, and fuel costs can screw up the numbers for a Safeway or WMT, but they've got 18-wheelers delivering truckload lots, not the UPS guy driving over to granny's house with one book. The B&M guys aren't afraid to pass such costs along, either.

Slowly but surely the reality of how the world works seeps in. AMZN can be a great and lasting company, but they are not immune to the same constraints as the B&M guys face every day.
