I saw grandma describe what she did...her words translated to a humiliation. If that's the 'culture' in Cuba, I can see why Elian's Mother chose against that type of environment for Her Only Son. What an awful thing to do to a child... A Human Being who clung to life for 48 hours based on his mothers last breath, her dream for her sons Human Right to be his OWN person, his freedom...I wonder what Elian thought about for those two days of willing himself to stay alive...can any of us really imagine? "...if his grandmother played with his penis every night...it wouldn't be relevant to asylum." What?
