I have a computer services company in a vertical market, and I also advise a private hedge fund on companies which are headed for the toilet. We've made a lot of money on the short side this year, though not as much as last year or the year before (one major POS hasn't broken yet). With this market populated with thought-processes such as the ones I see on this thread, I'm pretty sure this year is going to be a record for us on the short side.
