I'm speculating they canceled the acquisition with VGTI as part of the horse trading to get online lottery approval. They wanted to cleanse themselves of any complicating issues.

Now this...A law allowing Louisianians to open wagering accounts at the Fairgrounds, the horserace track in New Orleans, and then place bets by phone or over the internet goes into effect June 6.
