MYTH,MYTH,MYTH...productivity is another statistical trick, based entirely on the chained dollar bag of lies applied to PC manufacturing.

The government considers a computer using a 600Mhz processor twice as productive as a 300Mhz processor, and makes similar assumptions about hard drive size, internet access speed, etc. - just one of the many props keeping the productivity number growing. Using this dumb-*ssed way of calculating productivity, the economy will soon be so productive that most of us will be productive by merely turning on a computers, logging on to the internet, and then taking a long nap.
