InterTrust Announces the Licensing of Its Digital Rights Management Technology To Compaq Computer Corporation
InterTrust's DRM Technology to Be Integrated Into Compaq Products for Music Distribution
SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- InterTrust Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq: ITRU - news), the MetaTrust Utility(TM), today announced that Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ - news) has licensed InterTrust's Rights/PD(TM) and InterRights Point(TM) digital rights management (DRM) software for integration into Compaq products to enhance the music experience for its customers. Compaq plans to include DRM-enabled capabilities in future products to enable its customers to obtain securely distributed and protected digital audio content from the Internet and other media.
