Cellular One Launches Free Customized Information Service; Personal News Provides Customers With Timely News, Information and Promotional Offers On Their Wireless Phone

SAN FRANCISCO, Apr 26, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Cellular One, the leading
digital wireless communications provider in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area,
today announced Personal News. Personal News is a free, customized service
designed to provide customers with timely news, information and promotional
offers on their wireless phone.

"We are always looking for ways to provide more value and enhanced services to
our customers," said Steve Livingston, vice president of marketing for Cellular
One. "Personal News is an extension of that commitment. Customers can now have
personalized information and promotional offers delivered to them anywhere,
anytime -- for free."

Digital PCS customers who have PCS Messaging can sign up for Personal News and
receive either stock quotes, reminders or information from one of the following
information sources: Fox News, weather.com from The Weather Channel(R),
ESPN.com, CNBC Business Headlines and Excite.com Technology News. Customers can
also sign up to receive discounts, coupons and free products for everything from
coffee to CDs delivered to their phones from Geoworks Corporation's Mobile
Attitude.

Customers establish the parameters for when the information is sent to their
phones.

In addition to the free portion of Personal News, customers can sign up for
additional services for a fee. They can receive three extra information services
for $2.49 a month, or eight additional services for $5.99 a month. Customers can
select from over 30 additional services, including midday and closing stock
quotes, headline national news, political news, entertainment news, horoscopes
and sports scores.

Customers can sign up for Personal News through Cellular One's website at
www.cellone-sf.poweredbyi3.com. Cellular One partnered with Geoworks Corporation
(Alameda, Calif.) and i3 Mobile, Inc. (Stamford, Conn.) to develop Personal
News.
