Cox chose CCUR too: --(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 25, 2000--Atlanta-based Cox Communications, Inc. (NYSE: COX) and Concurrent Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: CCUR) today announced that Cox Communications has selected Concurrent's Video-On-Demand (VOD) hardware and software for its initial deployment of VOD for residential customers. Cox will introduce VOD services in San Diego, allowing customers to instantly view digital movies, with features like fast-forward, rewind, and pause. With the initial deployment already underway, the service is now being tested in employee homes and will be available for a limited number of San Diego customers later this year.

"The selection of Concurrent as the vendor for our initial deployment of VOD was based on an exhaustive RFP process," said John Hildebrand, Director of Multimedia Technology for Cox Communications. "We selected Concurrent based on its technology, applications, implementation, and quality. We are excited to take this important step toward offering our customers a full range of interactive services."
